Some commonly asked questions
  • A paid event attaches a cost to a user registration. Attendees must purchase tickets and you are paid 85% of the total revenue. A free event is an event that you set for free and are taking on the hosting cost as the organizer yourself. Server costs add up.
  • Public events are published on our website and anyone can enter the event. A hidden event is unlisted and accessed via a private link. A private event is unlisted and accessed by email invite only.
  • We use Stripe to process payments as a platform. This means you can only host a Hopin event if you have a bank account from any of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States.
  • We usually add features that are in demand, so feel free to reach out if you think it's interesting. Otherwise, we're always happy to set up custom features for enterprise customers under the Custom Plan.
