From 7th to 13th of September our wonderful community from all over the world are invited to join us for our Women in Games Global Conference – alongside a variety of fringe events, a game jam, esports tournament and our awards. The core conference programme takes place in Hopin, on the 9th and 10th of September – across 3 different time zones.
Our ambition is to achieve an inclusive welcoming, safe environment for all. Where the work of women, across all aspects of the games industry, is showcased and highlighted – Where discussions are meaningful and purposeful – Where we can openly address and discuss the realities of the situations, we find ourselves in – Where we can share our knowledge alongside having fun and enjoying each other’s company.
Stellar speakers will engage you in keynotes, on panels, in conversation – share insights in ‘my story’ and ‘ask me anything’ sessions as well as imparting knowledge in ‘learning lab’s and open breakout groups. We have DJ’s, comedians, surprise rooms and lots of networking opportunities for you to explore!
We are embarking on an incredible journey, heading into the unknown territory of online conferences for the first time…Our hosts, the wonderful Nerd Pirates, will steadfastly steer this ‘digital ship’ along with the Women in Games conference team busy behind the scenes making magic happen!
This year’s awards are global. We will celebrate some of the amazing women and allies from within the video games industry, across the world.
Our esports Cat Collective Community Cup, will be held on September 12th and 13th September:
A big thanks to ‘Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency’ for getting behind us, without their grant this conference and our forthcoming legacy projects, could not take place.

Gillette Venus have generously provided Women in Games with a charitable donation to support several initiatives across the forthcoming year including: Projects and research, which provide intelligence and insights on all aspects of gender equity and parity in the sector – Initiatives that encourage more women into the game industries workforce and more women to stay and progress – Which in turn allows women to creative more diverse and inclusive spaces in gaming and beyond.
