Podcasting is booming and we have selected a highly curated group of speakers to tell their stories and secrets. 

For the “Voices of the World” festival, our star line-up includes Dan Snow, creator and mastermind behind History Hit podcast, George the Poet (Have your heard George’s Podcast, Peabody Prize 2020 - Uganda/UK), Ning Yan (A Thousand Whys - China), Lory Martinez (Mija Podcast, Studio Ochenta - Colombia/US), Amit Varma (The Seen and the Unseen - India) and back by popular demand to open up the festival is Tom Morley (ex Scritti Politti - UK), the Rockstar Activator.

You'll get a chance to ask your questions with the speakers as well as interact and network with other podcast enthusiasts.

It all begins at 9:30am EST / 2:30pm British Summer Time / 3:30 CEST / 7:00pm IST on July 15.

This event is for all who enjoy podcasts and podcasters whether newbies or seasoned veterans. If you enjoy and want to get the most out of your podcasts, grab a ticket and get ready for 3 1/2 hours of packed fun, stories and networking.

BTW If you can't attend live, by getting a ticket, you will have access to the REPLAY.

Tom Morley - The Rockstar Activator - was the original drummer and a founder member of Scritti Politti, the 80s band who were pioneers of DIY music before appearing successfully on the dance scene. He’s also recorded with David Bowie and Madness. Tom will be introduced by Andrew Grill.

Amit Varma - Host of The Seen and the Unseen. Amit won the prestigious Bastiat Prize for Journalism in 2007 and 2015, becoming the first person to win it twice. In 2009, Business Week named him one of the 50 Most Powerful People in India. Interviewed by Minter Dial, we will discuss the state of podcasting in India, the backstory and creation of his podcast, his underlying mission and how he has crafted such a successful show.

George the Poet - Have You Heard George's Podcast? George Mpanga, better known by his stage name George the Poet, is a London-born spoken-word artist, poet, rapper, and podcaster. George was announced as the winner of a 2020 Peabody Award. It’s the first ever for a podcast outside of the United States to win this prestigious award. George also won the award for Best Podcast at the NME Awards 2020 and Podcast of the Year at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards. And at last year’s British Podcast Awards, he won an unprecedented four gold awards, plus two silvers, as well as the gold of golds: the podcast of the year award. Interviewed by Sam Sethi. We'll discuss the origin of his podcast and the influence of his platform before discussing what comes next for George.

The show was ranked as one of Apple Podcasts’ best listens 2019 in China. Interviewed by Minter Dial, we'll discuss the surprising state of podcasting and the audio market in China, the mission and success of her podcast, how her podcast is helping to bring the Chinese culture to the world.
