Uncubed began this series in the spirit of providing a "soft landing" for folks that were affected by layoffs and are eager to jump right back into work. To date, we've had three in-person events where hiring companies and job seekers were able to come together and make meaningful connections.
This will be the first virtual event of the series, and our main goal is to help NYC-based candidates across multiple business functions that have recently been laid off due to COVID-19.
Here's how it's going to work:
Similar to our in-person events, candidates will be grouped together by skill set (Marketing, Engineering, Sales, HR/Talent, etc.) and hiring companies will rotate through each grouping for 15 minute conversations via video chat. It's a great way to network and keep an eye out for new opportunities, while also getting to know other job seekers with a similar skill-set.
Each hiring company will also have their own virtual space where they can share information about their company as well as open roles.
