The idea of The B.A.M. Black Friday Market was born when Sharee attended a widely known holiday market in Houston, Texas back in 2015. She noticed there were no Black-owned vendor booths, and no money from that event, where Blacks were shopping, would be recirculated back into the Black community. Sharee knew this needed to change and looked for ways that more Black-owned business could be supported.
Why are we holding this as a virtual Black Friday event?
It was decided because of COVID 19, that we would make an event as close as possible to the in-person one. This way more people could participate in the bargain hunting that Black Friday and Cyber Monday they've come to love and expect, while supporting Black-owned businesses. The virtual event also means that as long as there is an internet connection people can attend - no travel necessary!
