LKDF Forum 2020

Welcome to the first virtual #LKDForum of the Learning and Knowledge Development Facility!

The world is currently facing an unprecedented crisis that is affecting social and economic systems alike. We must therefore think ahead and help countries recover and rebuild sustainably. Under the theme Green Skills for a Sustainable Future, and through a combination of plenary sessions, virtual booths, networking opportunities, and expert-led workshops, the LKDF Forum 2020 will provide a virtual venue to discuss the future of skills and jobs. In particular, how public and private sector partners can work together to reduce the mismatch between supply and demand for skills. The challenge lies in the content and quality of technical training in many countries as they do not always match the private sector’s demands. As a result, graduates cannot find jobs while employers cannot find skilled personnel.

Join us 6-8 October 2020 in a series of interactive sessions, and help our experts to answer the following questions

  • What are these green skills?
  • Which industrial sectors are looking for ‘green experts’ and ‘green technicians’?
  • Are educational systems and technical training equipped to develop green skills?
  • Will the digital revolution promote green skills development? and if so, how?

CLICK AND JOIN OUR COLLABORATIVE PLATFORM TO SHARE YOUR QUESTIONS AND IDEAS AHEAD OF THE FORUM!

Together, we can promote a skill revolution and be the change we need. Together, we can,

  • Convene public and private stakeholders for Public-Private Development Partnerships (PPDPs)
  • Help assess the industrial skill gaps
  • Propose and drive concrete actions
  • Measure impacts

Your participation will further inspire our experts, participating in the design thinking workshop on the last day, to solve the challenge: what green industrial skills need to be introduced in technical training to meet the demand and achieve a low-carbon economy?

THE EVENT WILL OFFER AI-POWERED SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATION IN MORE THAN 16 LANGUAGES
