Calendar icon to

The Imaging Alliance, a non-profit trade organization representing the bold and diverse imaging industry, with a membership that encompasses manufacturers, software and application developers, retailers, and media, will hold their annual awards event Virtually on Wednesday, October 21st.

Each honoree will present their work and mission and participate in a live chat with the audience.

The annual event never disappoints and promises to empower and inspire all who attend.

The 2020 Honorees include:

James Balog, founder of the Extreme Ice Survey (EIS) an innovative, long-term photography program that integrates art and science to give a “visual voice” to the planet’s changing ecosystems.

Alicia Hansen, founder and executive director of NYC SALT whose mission is to engage, inspire, and empower under-served youth in New York City to reach their full potential through photography, video and an understanding of the visual industry.

Chris Rainier, founder and CEO of The Cultural Sanctuaries Foundation who has dedicated his life to the documentation and preservation of endangered cultures to find a balance between cultural preservation and economic reality.

In addition, The Imaging Alliance will recognize professional photographer Michael Corrado and present him the Anthony M. Ruotolo Photojournalism Award. Giving back is what it’s all about for Mike who extends his love and passion for photography to children and families who are facing some of their most difficult times due to illness. Mike is the house photographer for the Ronald McDonald House where he volunteers so much of his time.

The Anthony M. Ruotolo Photojournalism award is named in memory of Anthony Ruotolo, a dear friend of The Imaging Alliance and the photo industry who suddenly passed away in June 2015.

Award winning NYC based photographer, Tony Gale, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for this incredibly empowering evening. Gale has created compelling portraits for a variety of editorial, corporate and advertising clients. Tony is a Manfrotto Ambassador, a Sony Artisan of Imagery, an X-Rite Coloratti and the APA national president.
