CBD & Our Microbiome "

Our health and wellness depends on a vast army of microbes to stay alive: a microbiome that protects us against germs, breaks down food to release energy, and produces vitamins, the combined genetic material of the microorganisms in a particular environment. Understanding the microbiome—human, animal, and environmental—is as important as the human genome. The microbiome is the genetic material of all the microbes - bacteria, fungi, protozoa and viruses - that live on and inside the human body.

The bacteria in the microbiome help digest our food, regulate our immune system, protect against other bacteria that cause disease, and produce vitamins including B vitamins B12, thiamine and riboflavin, and Vitamin K, which is needed for blood coagulation. Recent studies suggest our gut microbiome for instance has been linked to a host of diseases and ailments, including diabetes, anxiety, obesity, sleep deprivation and our mental health to how individuals respond to certain drugs or how cancer patients respond to chemotherapy.

Within our bodies is a vast network of cell receptors and corresponding molecules known as the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which stretches across our brain, GI tract, nervous system, glands, skin, immune system, and connective tissues. Our receptors (primarily CB1 and CB2) and the endocannabinoid fit together to help regulate our bodily functions from head to toe. Although the ECS performs differently depending on the location in your body, its ultimate goal is always balance, homeostasis, and wellness.

CBD oil is a natural extract from the Cannabis Sativa L. plant, also known as hemp that works in harmony with our endocannabinoid system.

This event will present and educate the health and wellness benefits and how non-psychoactive, legal cannabidiol (CBD) oil and other plant cannabinoids including THC, CBDA, THCV, CBG and CBDV can help support a glowing vitality that radiates from your gut to every cell in your body!
