We warmly invite you to the

British Council ELTons Awards 2020

The international awards that celebrate excellence in innovation in English language teaching and learning

Thursday 15 October 2020

Online, 14:00 – 17:30 (UK Time)

Register your place for the ELTons Online 2020.

We will be in touch in the near future with guidance on how to join and make the most of attending the interactive, virtual ELTons 2020.

The ELTons will run from 14:00 – 17:30 (UK Time) to welcome international finalists and guests across time zones, worldwide.

Add your areas of interest for AI matchmaking with finalists, innovators and leaders who share your interests.

This year, the ELTons marks its 18th anniversary. The awards are a chance to celebrate the most innovative ways to learn and teach English from around the world, as well as the teams behind them. This year we received 125 entries from 35 countries – across six continents.

For the first time in its 18 years, the ELTons is moving fully online for 2020.

Because we don’t know if we’ll be able to gather together in person, it’s been our aim to keep the anticipation of the awards, as well as the chance to make connections and meet colleagues. So, we’ve created an interactive, virtual ELTons’ venue. We warmly invite you to join us. Meet the finalists in their interactive booths, find out the winners live on the virtual stage, and connect with fellow innovators and leaders, in group or one-to-one video calls. Take the chance to catch up with industry colleagues and friends.

ELTon awards to be announced live online:

  • Local Innovation in partnership with Cambridge Assessment English
  • Digital Innovation
  • Innovation in Learner Resources
  • Innovation in Teacher Resources
  • Excellence in Course Innovation
  • The ELTRAs (English Language Teaching Research Awards)
  • The ELTons’ Commendation for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion – New for 2020!
  • The ELTons Outstanding Achievement Award

Becoming a finalist is no small feat, and we wish all finalists, and the companies, teams and individuals involved, the very best of luck. Find out more about the ELTons 2020 finalists.

Registration closes on Wednesday 14 October. (Tickets are free of charge.)
