About the Black College Expo

Black College Expo™ (BCE) is a trademark program of National College Resources Foundation (NCRF), a 501c3 non-profit organization that functions daily as a full service student outreach program in various schools throughout California. BCE was founded in 1999 by Dr. Theresa Price as a vital link between minorities and college admissions. NCRF's mission is to curtail high school dropout rate and increase degree and/or certificate enrollment among underserved and underrepresented students by providing them educational support to access to college, careers and beyond.

BCE is hosted in 11 cities across the U.S. BCE features over 50 of the 104 historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), along with other colleges and educational services.  The event serves as a platform to introduce and educate students about the rich history and legacy of HBCUs, give students an opportunity to meet one-on-one with various colleges and demystify the college admission process. The event features public, private independent, ivy leagues, baby ivies, and military colleges.  The overall goal is to encourage and promote the importance of higher education, while providing guidance to positive post-secondary pursuits.

All dollars go towards scholarships and gap fees for low resource students. Also, to college students affected by COVID-19.
